Shorter brides: Creating the impression of height by selecting a dress with vertical lines. High waist work well, but avoid heavy fabrics and styles fussy.
Full figured Brides: Avoid pleated and gathered and bright fabrics. Instead, look for matte fabrics, light and keep the style simple. Plunging necklines, long sleeves, empire waist and a skirt, softly falling can be wonderfully slimming.
Upper arms: Choose a dress with sleeves if you are not completely satisfied with your arms. Or, select a combination of dress and jacket.
Pear shapes: wedding dresses can be very nice to the pear-shaped bodies. Create the illusion of a slim waist, with a deep V-shaped Basque and a skirt. Necklines, princess line bodice and decorated (but not detail or trim around the waist and hem) also create a flattering look.
Petite brides: Avoid billowing dresses and heavy detail. Empire lines and smooth, flowing line skirts that increase the height, and can use almost any neckline. Strapless or sleeveless will be flattering and show off your tiny waist with a dress that goes into all the right places.
Tall and slender: A skirt creates the illusion of curves. Avoid soft clothing or vertical lines. Instead, consider the sophisticated styles, making a sweeping statement.
Full-length dresses are perfect for evening or formal weddings and are generally used with a long veil cathedral or chapel.
